Golden State Water Receives Recognition from the U.S. Veteran Business Alliance
Golden State Water Company (Golden State Water) was recently recognized by the U.S. Veteran Business Alliance for its Supplier Diversity Program and 2017 expenditures with Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBEs). The U.S. Veteran Business Alliance’s annual recognition highlights companies that have exceeded the organization’s DVBEs spending goal for the year, as well as those that surpass General Order 156 diverse spending targets.
“It is always an honor to be highlighted as an industry leader, and Golden State Water is especially proud that the recognition is focused on something as important as supplier diversity,” said Golden State Water’s Senior Vice President of Regulated Utilities Denise Kruger. “We recognize that having a skilled, diverse supplier pool is not only a major competitive advantage and effective business tool, but the exceptional work that they do translates into a better product for customers.”
Golden State Water’s Supplier Diversity Program is committed to seeking and identifying diverse suppliers and offering them equitable opportunities to compete for contracts to supply materials and services. In addition to partnering with DVBEs, Golden State Water also provides opportunities to Women Business Enterprises and Minority Business Enterprises, among other diverse suppliers.
