GOLDEN STATE WATER COMPANY ANNOUNCES NEW
GENERAL MANAGER FOR CENTRAL DISTRICT

SAN DIMAS, Calif. – Golden State Water Company (Golden State Water) recently announced the hiring of Dave Schickling to serve as General Manager of the utility’s Central District, which provides reliable water service to approximately 49,500 customers in communities throughout the south-central portion of Los Angeles County.

Schickling’s experience includes more than 35 years as a civil engineer and water industry leader. Most-recently, he held the position of Public Works Director and oversaw water service for the City of Whittier. He managed the City of Whittier’s water system from 1992-2004, before a 12-year term leading the water and engineering divisions for the City of Fullerton.

“We are very excited to have Dave Schickling leading our team of dedicated professionals who serve our Central District customers,” said Senior Vice President of Regulated Utilities Denise Kruger. “Dave is a respected voice in the water industry and has extensive experience managing water systems throughout Southern California.”

Schickling holds a civil engineering degree from California State University-Fullerton, and is an active member of the American Water Works Association and American Society of Civil Engineers.

Golden State Water’s Central District serves customers through three Customer Service Areas: Central Basin East (Artesia, Cerritos, Downey, Hawaiian Gardens, La Mirada, Lakewood, Long Beach, Norwalk, Santa Fe Springs, and adjacent county territory), Central Basin West (portions of Bell, Bell Gardens, Cudahy, Hollydale, Huntington Park, Paramount, South Gate, Vernon, Willowbrook and adjacent county territory) and Culver City.
