Golden State Water recognizes that COVID-19 has presented financial challenges for some families, and we want to make customers aware of resources that may help keep your water account in good standing.
If you are a renter who needs help paying your water bill due to COVID-19, you may qualify for a new emergency relief program from the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA).
SHRA is offering rental households emergency financial assistance for past due utility bills. This includes funding assistance to qualified applicants who have fallen behind on their utility bills from April 1, 2020, through March 1, 2021.
Applications will be accepted until March 19, 2021.
