More than $2.7 million in infrastructure improvements are planned for 2020 in the Los Alamitos service area.

Saint Ann Main Replacement
Saint Ann Ave. from west of Walker St. to Cypress Ave.
Investment:
$670,000
Project Timeline:
October 2020 – Mid-December 2020
Working Hours:

7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Construction crews will work to:
- Replace 1,400 LF of older 6-inch pipe with new 8-inch PVC pipe
- Install 56 one-inch services
- Install 1 six-inch fire hydrant
This project will improve the distribution system and ensure Golden State Water can continue providing reliable water service to local customers.

Crescent Main Replacement
Crescent Ave from west of Walker Ave. to Kington Way.

$330,000

September 16, 2020 – Mid-December 2020

Construction crews will work to:
- Replace 680 LF of older 4-inch pipe with new 8-inch PVC pipe
- Install 14 services
This project will improve the distribution system and ensure Golden State Water can continue providing reliable water service to local customers.

Lanett Area Main Replacement Project
The following streets will be affected: Lanett St., between New York Ave. and Alaska Ave.; cul-de-sac’s Lolina Lane and New Mexico Lane; Belday St., between New York Ave and Alaska; and New York Ave. from Moody St. to end of the street.

$1.9 million

June 22, 2020 – October 2020
Working Hours:
Monday – Friday

Construction crews will work to:
- Replace 3,500 LF of older 6-inch & 4-inch pipes with new 8-inch pipe
- Install 10 hydrants
- Install 86 services

Howard Ave. Main Replacement
We appreciate the community’s patience as crews worked to complete the first phase of the project, which was delayed by wet weather and other unanticipated challenges.
Phase 2:
Scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2020. During this phase, crews will work to construct individual house lines to the new meter locations along the street frontage in order to abandon the old alleyway main located north of Howard Avenue between Reagan and Bloomfield.
Phase 3:
The schedule for the final phase of construction has not yet been determined. During this phase, crews will work to construct house lines and abandon the alleyway main located north of Howard between Bloomfield Street and Lexington Drive.

Florista West Tank

Construction crews worked to:
- Recoat the interior of a 1.5 million gallon reservoir
- Install safety appurtenances on the interior and exterior of the reservoir
These improvements extend the useful life of the reservoirs and allow for their continued safe operation, enabling Golden State Water Company to continue to provide reliable, quality water to our customers.
