Golden State Water Company Acquires Crescent Bay Water System

Clearlake, Calif. – Today, Golden State Water Company (Golden State Water) announced that the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) approved the company’s request to acquire Crescent Bay Improvement Company (aka Crescent Bay Water System or Crescent Bay). The aging water system will be consolidated into the company’s Clearlake Customer Service Area.

This week the California Senate unanimously passed Senate Bill (SB) 1469 and in the Assembly, the measure earned a sweeping majority, reflecting momentum and widespread support for the legislation.

GOLDEN STATE WATER ADVISES CUSTOMERS IN CLEARLAKE, BAY POINT, ARDEN CORDOVA SERVICE AREAS OF EMERGENCY DROUGHT DECLARATION

Golden State Water Company (Golden State Water) is advising customers in its Clearlake, Bay Point and Arden Cordova (Arden, Gold River, Rancho Cordova) service areas of the state of California’s emergency drought declaration that was expanded on May 10, 2021, to include Lake, Contra Costa and Sacramento counties. Customers in these communities, and throughout the state, are encouraged to continue using water responsibly and make water conservation an important part of their every day.

PATRICK M. KUBIAK PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT OF ASSET MANAGEMENT

SAN DIMAS, Calif. – Golden State Water Company (Golden State Water) recently announced that Patrick M. Kubiak has been promoted to Vice President of Asset Management.

In this role, Kubiak oversees all asset management planning, engineering design, capital program construction, technical services and operations support, developer in-fill new business services, and preventative maintenance. Kubiak is also responsible for establishing the vision and strategy to lead Golden State Water in the execution of critical and transformative asset management initiatives.

Golden State Water Company Donates More Than $100,000 to Local Charities Through Operation Gobble

During the month of November, Golden State Water Company (Golden State Water) worked in partnership with elected officials and community leaders to donate more than $100,000 to organizations throughout the state that serve families and individuals with limited resources through its annual Operation Gobble outreach program. 

Operation Gobble has been a Golden State Water tradition since 1990. Over the last 30 years, Golden State Water has donated more than 250,000 turkeys through the program.

Denise Kruger Recognized With Prestigious George Warren Fuller Award For Outstanding Contributions To The Water Industry

Golden State Water Company (Golden State Water) Senior Vice President of Regulated Water Utilities Denise Kruger has been recognized as this year’s recipient of the George Warren Fuller Award, presented by the California-Nevada Section of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) for distinguished service and leadership to the water supply field. The announcement was made on Tuesday as part of the CA-NV AWWA’s Annual Fall Conference.
