Water Conservation School

Post

Golden State Water encourages customers to use water efficiently and remain diligent with conservation efforts.

Now, customers who have incurred allocation surcharges or had a flow restrictor installed on their property have the opportunity to participate in the free, one-time Water Conservation School to learn about water-use efficiency, drought conditions, mandatory regulations, how to manage water at your property, read a water meter, find and fix leaks, and more.

Customers who complete the Water Conservation School and pass the quiz (with a score of 75% or higher) will be able to request a one-time allocation surcharge adjustment OR have the flow restrictor removed after seven days. Please note that completion of the Water Conservation School does not waive the installation or removal fees associated with the flow restrictor.

Directions:

To start, watch the Water Conservation School above and complete the quiz .

Upon completion and passing the quiz with a score of 75% or higher, customers may request a one-time allocation surcharge adjustment or have the flow restrictor removed after seven days.

After passing the quiz, please contact Golden State Water Company at (800)999-4033 to discuss the next steps as it relates to the one-time allocation surcharge adjustment or removal of the flow restrictor. When prompted, select the drought option from the list of options and when connected to a drought team representative, please inform them that you have recently completed Golden State Water Company’s Water Conservation School.

Customers must request the one-time allocation surcharge adjustment within 90 days from the date of the completed quiz or call immediately to request the removal of the flow restrictor.

Please note: Completed quizzes will only be accepted from the verified account holder. If you are a tenant or property manager, please contact the property owner.

If you need assistance, please call our 24-hour Customer Service Center at (800)999-4033.
