Ambervale Secondary Feeder Line – Placentia
Investing in Reliable Water Infrastructure in Placentia
Golden State Water Company is committed to responsibly maintaining local water infrastructure so we can continue providing customers with premium water service so they never have to think twice about the quality of their water. To fulfill this commitment, we are is making proactive investments to upgrade water supply and delivery facilities, creating sustainable, long-term value for the communities we serve. These forward-looking investments help prevent the costly and sometimes dangerous impacts of deferred maintenance or aging infrastructure, while ensuring a resilient water system for the future.
An example of an investment in water infrastructure in your local area is the Ambervale Secondary Feeder Line project located in the northern half of the Cowan Heights system. The project included installing approximately 1,560 linear feet of 12-inch PVC pipeline along Newport Boulevard. This new pipeline represents the first phase of a larger effort to loop the Clearview and Timberline zones and address hydraulic deficiencies within the system.
Construction of the Ambervale AMR was completed in October 2025. Additional projects, including the Highcliff & Newport Boulevard Crossing in 2026 and the Fox Run BPS in 2027, will finalize the water system loop and further strengthen reliability within the Cowan Heights system.
