Del Monte Treatment and Booster Station – Claremont
Investing in Reliable Water Infrastructure in Claremont
Golden State Water Company is committed to responsibly maintaining local water infrastructure so we can continue providing customers with safe, reliable water service they can depend on every day. To fulfill this commitment, we are making proactive investments to upgrade water supply and delivery facilities, creating sustainable, long-term value for the communities we serve. These forward-looking investments help prevent the costly and sometimes disruptive impacts of deferred maintenance or aging infrastructure, while ensuring a resilient water system for the future.
An example of an investment in water infrastructure in your local area is the recently completed Del Monte Treatment and Booster Station project in the Claremont system. Phase 1, completed in November 2024, included installation of an arsenic removal system at Del Monte Well No. 4, along with replacement of the well pump, motor, motor control center (MCC) panel and rehabilitation of the well. These improvements allow the well to continue serving customers while meeting all water quality standards.
Phase 2, completed in August 2025, included replacing the existing booster station, installing new water mains, demolishing the original booster station building, and adding a new booster pump to deliver water into the Lower Zone more efficiently. The previous booster station had reached the end of its useful service life.
Together, these upgrades enhance overall system resilience, improve operational efficiency, and help ensure reliable, safe drinking water for customers in Claremont for years to come.
