Simi Valley SCADA Upgrade – Simi Valley

Investing in Reliable Water Infrastructure in Simi Valley

Post

Providing safe, dependable drinking water requires modern, reliable infrastructure. In the Simi Valley Customer Service Area, Golden State Water Company is investing in advanced technology to strengthen system performance, improve operational efficiency and enhance reliability for our customers.

Through proactive upgrades and system improvements, we are ensuring our water system remains resilient and responsive — today and into the future.

A key investment in Simi Valley is the recent upgrade and replacement of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system across local plant sites.

SCADA technology allows operators to remotely monitor and control critical system components such as pumps, valves, and storage facilities. Prior to this project, some plant sites operated without SCADA, requiring operators to travel onsite to manually adjust equipment.

With the upgrade now substantially complete, all plant sites are fully operational under the new SCADA system. Operators can now:

  • Remotely monitor system performance in real time
  • Respond more quickly to power outages, leaks, or pressure changes
  • Make system adjustments without onsite visits
  • Improve overall efficiency and reliability

This technology enhancement strengthens the resilience of the Simi Valley water system and allows us to respond faster to changing conditions — helping ensure safe, reliable water service for our customers.

At Golden State Water, we are committed to investing in smart, forward-looking solutions that provide peace of mind and dependable service every day.
